AHRC Manhattan Turning 5 Workshop

Please note: This is NOT an FHF event.

If your child with special needs will be turning 5 in this school calendar year, he or she will be transitioning from the small, sheltered preschool environment to the services offered by the New York City Department of Education in September 2014. You need to start thinking about that transition now! The Department of Education is vast and the service system is very different from that of preschools. The meetings are different, the IEP is different and the educational goals are different. This can be a confusing time for parents and their children. Our Advocate will give you the information you need to navigate this complex process and have a smooth transition next year.
