Sculpture Garden Reception in Greenport, NY

What: Art Without Barriers Opening Reception of the Fifth Annual Sculpture Garden. Guided tours, and self-guided tours with catalogues, maps and verbal description will be available.

Where: on the historic grounds of Brecknock Hall at Peconic Landing, Greenport, NY. Address: 1500 Brecknock Rd, Greenport, NY 11944. The reception will be held be held near brecknock Hall, on the campus just off of Main Road. Parking will be available. Restrrooms will be available.

When: Saturday June 28th, 3pm

Who: The whole community. This event is designed to help fuel interest in the ongoing effort to make culture accessible. People who are blind and visually impaired are especially welcome, but the event is open to all. Bring a friend!

Cost: Free for all.

Why: Because Peconic Landing is trying to bring greater accessibility to its programming.

Additional: If you are coming by LIRR, you’ll want to make the connection at Ronkonkoma Station towards Greenport at 10:35am. This means taking the 9:12am train from Penn Station or the 8:59am train from Atlantic Terminal to get to Ronkonkoma. You will have to change at Jamaica if coming from Atlantic Terminal. The train to Greenport will get you to Greenport Station at 12:02pm. If you are interested you can check out downtown Greenport, which is walking distance from the station an includes restaurants, the waterfront and the historic carousel. There is also a Seaport Museum right next to the Greenport train station. A shuttle will be available to bring people from the train station to Peconic Landing.
