for Parents and Professionals
As you know, more and more children are being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders than ever before. The parents of these children are often not aware of the various treatment options available to them. The autism community has largely taken a “one size fits all” approach to treating these children.
Extraordinary Minds Learning Center is a 501(c)3 agency that provides developmental, relationship based intervention to children with autism and their families at little to no cost. It is the only agency of its kind here on Staten Island. Part of our mission is to educate families about the treatment options available to them. We believe that parents should be afforded the opportunity to make an educated and informed decision about what treatment approach will work best for their child and their family because one size does not fit all.
On October 5, 2013 we will be hosting a conference, Options for Autism. This conference will feature 5 different speakers presenting on treatment approaches for Autism Spectrum Disorders not offered to parents through early intervention or school systems. Our speakers include;
