Please join the Museum Access Consortium this January to learn about and discuss the efforts of the Theater Development Fund and Story Pirates to make the performing arts accessible to people who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their family members. Small group discussions will follow a panel discussion, allowing time for attendees from cultural institutions and disability service organizations to reflect and brainstorm together about lessons learned from the examples of TDF’s and Story Pirates and applications to settings and programs at historic sites, art museums, botanic gardens, libraries, parks, and zoos. This workshop will conclude with plenty of time for Q&As. This event will bring together professionals from the performing arts, museums, and disability fields and will take place in the striking main synagogue space at the Museum at Eldridge Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
