STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Families Helping Families (FHF) will hold its inaugural Angel Awards Murder Mystery Dinner Theater on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 7 to 11 p.m. at The Loft at Ariana’s Grand, 4864 Arthur Kill Road, Richmond Valley. Tickets are: $85 Angel Donor; $125 Silver Angel Donor; and $150 Gold Angel Donor. Ticket price includes: show, complete buffet dinner, beer, wine, Sangria, soda, coffee/tea, dessert. Reservations must be made by Nov. 30. Call 718-227-2171 or e-mail fhf@fhfnyc.org. The website is www.fhfnyc.org.

Awards will be presented to community businesses and organizations that have made generous contributions to FHF over the past year.

The Knights of Columbus, Father John C. Drumgoole Council 5917, Richmond, with Brian Reilly of Richmond as grand knight, donated their hall and several of their men to help during the FHF first annual New Year’s Eve Party last December.

Sgt. Michael J. Labetti Post 2159, Rosebank, with Joseph Benedetto of Rosebank as commander, also donated their hall for the FHF first annual School’s Out for Summer Party in June 2011.

Both organizations have already donated their halls again for the same events in the upcoming year.

Monello Enterprises has made generous financial contributions to FHF. Vincent Aiello of New Dorp is the CEO.

Sound Explosion DJs has donated DJ services for both of the parties and has offered their services and the sound system for the awards dinner. Eric Bischoff of Tottenville is president.

Chairing the event are FHF officers Andrea Anna Lella, CEO and program director; Bernadette Olk, chief administration officer; and Jennifer Parsons, chief operating officer

FHF is a not-for-profit organization founded by families of children with disabilities dedicated to providing other families with the full level of support and education needed to cope with and overcome the challenges associated with disabilities.

All proceeds go directly to fund the programs, events and activities that are organized throughout the year. FHF receives no city, state or federal funding.
